Charles Hall presents the John Morgan Memorial Trophy to Jan Cawley of Vale CC on the first occasion it was presented in 2006.
John was the late president of the Dean PC who died whilst in office in May 2005. It seemed appropriate that Charles should present the Trophy for the first time as he was one of John's best friends.
The Trophy is as creative as the competition as it consists of a pewter tankard and a pipe. Those who knew John knew that he enjoyed a pint of good beer and was seldom seen without his pipe. Charles remarked that John was probably up there somewhere laughing at us.
